Greg Balani, Senior Director of Business Development, joined Escient Pharmaceuticals in July 2022. Previously, Greg worked at Zogenix, where he served as Director of Business Development and was instrumental in the acquisition of Zogenix by UCB. Before Zogenix, Greg was at Bayer and held roles in the U.S. Business Development & Licensing and Global Mergers, Acquisitions & Licensing groups, where he worked on in-licensing assets, acquisitions, and asset divestitures. Prior to Bayer, Greg was a consultant in Huron’s Corporate and Operational Consulting group. He received a PharmD from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and a B.S. from DePaul University.
