Mas-Related G Protein-Coupled Receptors or Mrgprs are chemosensory receptors that belong to the class A GPCRs family. They are believed to act as surveillance detectors for offensive stimuli from both the external and internal environments.
Each of the eight known human Mrgprs displays a unique tissue distribution. As such, each Mrgprs has the potential for being a target for intervention thus addressing a range of therapeutic areas.
